Is Your Blog CommentLuv Enabled?

commentluvEveryone likes to receive comments on their blog, it helps to grow a community and makes you feel, as a blog owner that there are people who actually read your posts. CommentLuv was originally created as a WordPress plugin to give something back to every commentator as well as compelling them to come back and visit your blog more often by automatically adding a link to their latest blog post at the end of their comment.

As part of ComLuv’s improvements, and due to popular demand, the service was later extended for blogger.com users as well. The integration of Comluv to blogger.com users is relatively easy, provided you follow their instructions by the letter. Once you have it installed, sit back and enjoy the commenting system that makes interacting with your commentators much easier, while giving them some LinkLuv.

If you have noticed, I have have recently installed ComLuv’s commenting system. The transition went very well and I had no problems getting it up and running within minutes. Having enjoyed the benefits of the system (even for just a while), I sent CommentLuv an email asking them if it was possible to claim another site with the same account, so I can install it in other blogs. You might be wondering if I got any response. Actually, I did and this is also one of the reasons why I am writing this post. Here is the reply from their administrator:

There you go. CommentLuv is preparing for a massive turn around and soon they will be including features that are set to raise bells and whistles. Some of these features include:

  • Multiple sources – You will be able to register up to 5 sites with your account and retrieve posts from any and all of them
  • Free WordPress 2.7.1 Blog with plugins – Every single existing and future member of CommentLuv will be able to create their own WordPress 2.7.1 blog with plugins like CommentLuv already installed. All will be hosted on the new server and all will be free for any member to use!
  • Free CommentLuv Search Engine – The new site will have a search engine that scours the very latest CommentLuv sites and is capable of searching through post titles too. Get direct to the most relevant posts within your niche!
  • More than just blog posts – As well as blog feeds, the new CommentLuv will be able to retrieve your latest Tweets or Digg submissions! More source types can be added, what do you want to see?
  • And more…

Just as Andy Bailey said, stay tuned for the next CommentLuv which will be live this coming June. Note that due to this upgrade, all registrations are temporarily disabled at this time.

So, do you have ComLuv installed in your blog? Has it increased the number of your comments? What do you think of these new upcoming features (specially the WordPress free blog)?
