The Common Issues We Can Come Up Against When We Want To Embrace Technology

There are common issues that we can all come up against, even when we are doing our best to utilise what we have at our disposal. There is no denying that out homes and lifestyles can be heavily dominated by the use of technology, but there are also common issues we can all come up against. Voice control not understanding you

Many of us will have embraced some smart home technology in our properties and more commonly this might be devices such as Google Home or Amazon Alexa. However, the main concern and issue we can face is these voice activated devices not understanding us. This might be down to your accent, it could be the way you say things, or even not using the right words for the commands you are trying to make. Of course, things like this take patience and practice, and once you do get to grips with it they can be excellent features in our home.

Your devices freezing

There is no denying that many of us will use a device like a laptop every now and again, and whether you prefer your Microsoft or your Mac products, there can often be a time when these devices freeze. It could be the black screen on Catalina, or the dreaded multicoloured ring on Mac devices that cause you issues. Often this means that a software or app is using too much memory on the device. In some cases it can easily be reset and resolved.

Not having enough memory for software updates

It is important to understand that some of our devices, albeit, not many years old, can easily get dormant and need replacing. This is due to the increase in technology advances and how those particular devices are just not strong enough, or have enough memory to hold the latest software. This is one issue that can be costly, as the need to upgrade becomes more apparent.

Too much stored on a device

You may also find that your devices that you use equally become slow and unresponsive, and in some cases this might be because you have maximised the memory capacity on the device. An example for this would be your phone. Often you can hold too many pictures and applications that take up all the storage, meaning the phone is slow and can also stop responding.

Being a technophobe

Understandably, you can also find that you don’t want to embrace the latest technology because you are fearful or don’t understand it. This is one of the most common issues people have with the latest developments as you can become less captivated by it, or have a lack of understanding on how to use things.

Let’s hope sharing some of these issues helps you to feel less alone if you come across them yourself.
