google adsense program
What You Already Know?
When it comes to credibility and reliability, I believe that many of you will agree that Google's AdSense Program requires no further endorsements nor introduction. In the event that you require some additional information, aside from the multiple resources you can find online about Google's Program, you can also find here, plenty of useful information about AdSense.

Once upon a time, there were many bloggers who used to show off their thousands of dollar earnings with AdSense. Nowadays, such high earnings are virtually impossible, because almost everyone is doing it, and as the chances of someone landing on your websites and clicking on those ads gets slimmer, the closer you will be in achieving nothing but sheer frustration. So, you may ask. Is AdSense still a viable source of income? The answer is yes and I encourage you to read on.

What you do not (probably) know?
You probably asked yourself if there were any AdSense Secrets. Well there could be, but I have to admit that I am not aware of them. One thing I do know is that to make a decent amount of money with AdSense, you need a website that generates a high volume of visitors per month (about 30K). In addition to your traffic, if your chosen niche is one of those that are highly competitive, then your chances of generating high paying keywords is also a possibility. Now, If you are just starting your journey or your website generates very little amount of traffic, it is likely that you will earn only a few cents per day.

What should you do?
I will provide you with two possible solutions to maximize your earnings with AdSense. The first is the most obvious one and that is to promote your website like crazy, provide value for your readers, do plenty of SEO work, socialize and expect to increase your traffic and rank well on search engines.

The other possible solution is to spread as much AdSense ads as you can. Before I explain to you this method in more detail, take a small website that generates about 20 - 50 unique visitors per day, as an example. This website can generate somewhere between 0,25 cents to 0,75 cents a day. If you can average 0,50 cents a day, then you should have a whopping 15$ a month. Well, that is not much, is it? OK. Now imagine you have 10 websites. That should now be 150$ per month (not bad). How about if you have 20 websites? That's 300$! I think by now, you are catching on.

The next obvious question is how will you manage so many websites? Quick answer, who said that making money online was easy? Actually, all but your main flagship should require very little attention from your part. Very little does not mean nothing, and should you decide to take this route, here are some suggestions on how to explore this avenue.
  • Choose different topics or niches - Music, Books, Travel, Technology, Parenting, Gadgets, etc
  • Build various websites/blogs on free platforms that allows you to run AdSense
  • Publish one two articles every 15 days - No idea for articles? Get some for free on "Free Articles Directories" and remember to follow their republishing guidelines.
  • Add Adsense for Search on each website/blog
  • Ensure proper placements for your AdSense Ads - How To Display AdSense Ads On Your Website
  • Include an authority website's feed of your chosen topic, example: CNN's feed for Technology (this will be some sort of an automatic content generator)
  • Submit them all to as much search engines and social bookmarking sites as possible. Get them all indexed at the very least.
  • Promote them once in a while (Twitter, Forums, Directories, etc..)
  • If you have unused domains and do not know what to do with them, use AdSense For Domains
  • Create channels for each Ad placement and analyze their performance to see which ones are working best.
  • Make sure you adhere to Google's AdSense TOS
That's about it. Have any of you tried this method before? Do you know of any other ways to maximize earnings with AdSense? Now is a good time to share it with us:)

Money OnlineWhat Is Affiliate Marketing?

By definition, affiliate marketing is the Internet marketing practice whereby a business owner rewards you (as an affiliate) for each visitor or customer brought about by your marketing efforts. Think about yourself being a sales person for a company or product. When you produce the results a company is looking for, you get paid accordingly. That is in simple terms what affiliate marketing is all about.

Why everybody is doing it?

Affiliate Marketing is probably one of the easiest and most utilized form to earn money through the Internet. This is because when you decide to engage in this form of doing business, you do not have to worry about a lot of things, such as initial Capital, creating your own products, developing promotional materials, providing assistance, shipping, storage, etc. In most cases, the owners of the affiliate businesses (or merchants) are responsible for having all these necessary requirements, while all you need to do is promote the products and make sales.

However, like any other business venture, the chances of success in affiliate marketing is not guaranteed it is not an "Automatic" income generator as many will tell you. To significantly increase your chances of success, here are some tips that can guide you to the process:

1) Finding The Right Affiliate Network
There are so many affiliate networks that you may be tempted to signup for the first one you see. Before doing so, there are some factors which you need to determine if a particular affiliate network is right for you.

Policies – Are services, sales and payment terms easily understandable?
Knowledge Base – Is there a FAQ area that can help you answer any questions you may have? Do they have a beginner’s guide for affiliates?
Affiliate Managers – Does the affiliate company have real people on the other end of the phone who can answer your questions and provide you with assistance?
Community Proof – Have you heard people, talking highly about particular companies, products or services? See this example about the Google Affiliate Program.

What you need to know is that there are so many different types of programs out there that it can be quite overwhelming when it comes to choosing what is best for you. As I said before, there are no "magic systems" for success. The best thing to do is to experiment with different ones and find which one converts best for you.

To help you out with your efforts, you can check out websites such as Amazon and eBay. Check out the most popular products as well as the most successful sellers. Chances are, whatever niches are most popular in those websites are best to engage in.

2) Select the Right Product
Navigating through the information and browsing offers available for you to promote on your chosen affiliate networks depends highly on the niche you are in. Do not get fooled by choosing only high payouts, which in a lot of cases do not convert to sales. You should analyze click thru rates, click to lead conversion ratios, and most importantly, whether or not the ad's target audience is the same as that of your site.

Also, there is one that I call "seasonal niche". This is the one that you should be on a constant awareness as they are normally the most popular ones and can increase your chances on generating actions from your visitors.

One example that comes to my kind right now is with the unfortunate departure of Michael Jackson (may he rest in peace). When the news broke out, even Google had a hard time to maintain it's website running. Literally, an Internet chaos was generated because of this event. Now imagine that you had a website or created a website that is related to, say Music. You could have during a certain period of time, promoted anything related to Michael Jackson. Just take a look at Amazon's sales of MP3's during this period and you will see what I mean. Some other examples are, Father's Day, Valentines Day, Mother's Day, etc.

Aside from checking out what each affiliate or affiliate network have to offer, one way to assist you in finding products or services, is by using Google's Product Search engine. This will show you the latest trends of what people are looking for and might give you an idea of what product to promote.

Anyway, when in doubt and regardless of specifics, the best advice I can give you is to run a small test on multiple offers. After that, let the numbers speak for
themselves and see which is working or not. just remember to NOT sell something that people can get for free.

3) Promote Wisely
Once you've already chosen an affiliate marketing program to get into, you will need to promote your business. Promotion is one of the hardest things to do in this business primarily because competition is too high. Research all available platforms that can help you gain as much targeted traffic as you can and advertise your products in forums, classified, blogs and even on Twitter. You can also run your own email marketing campaign. If you have a blog, provide content related to the product you are promoting and give your opinion if possible. Just keep in mind that the more sources you have, the better your affiliate marketing business will perform. Obviously, one thing to avoid is Spamming.

In Conclusion
There are many things you need to be aware of to achieve success in Affiliate Marketing. The suggestions above, if implemented, should serve as guidelines to assist you in your online business objectives.

How about you? Do you have any ideas to share with us? How are you doing on your Affiliate Marketing efforts?

PageRanks Updated Again?

Google PageRankNot long ago, I have posted an article that Google has updated their Toolbar Page Rank, web wide. Recent reports, appears to confirm that Google started to update the PageRank again, which started sometime last night. Usually, such updates are done every three months, but if it is confirmed, this will be the the third update in such a short period of time.

I am not sure why this is happening, but as you know, I have made it a point to report to everyone, every time such updates occur. As I have mentioned in my previous reports, while many will say that this is no longer important, it is still good to know how our websites are performing in the eyes of Google.

How about you? What happened to your PageRank? Did you notice any changes recently?

Sell Your Blog on Amazon Kindle

Until recently, there has been only a few blogs that were for sale on Amazon's Kindle store, as it was exclusively for major blogs only. Now, every blog owner can make his/her blog available for sale with the new Kindle Publishing for Blogs Beta program. Amazon Kindle Publishing for Blogs is a fast and easy self-publishing tool that lets you upload your blog for sale in the Kindle Store.

What Is Kindle?

Basically, Kindle is an electronic book reader (or wireless reading device, as they are sometimes called) which allows the user to use the device to read digital copies of books, magazines, blogs, etc. Watch this 5 minute video from Amazon.

If you want detailed information, you can read more on Kindle DX (Latest Generation).

How Does Kindle Publishing Work?

You can publish your blog to kindle store by creating a new account (Amazon Associates are not accepted), and then following a 3 step process. After submitting your blog, it will usually take around 48 hours to get approved and published. Amazon will share 30% of the revenue of the price they set up with you. Most of the blogs on kindle right now are priced at $0.99 - $1.99 (max) per month. As an example, I have submitted my other blog, TwittNotes a couple of days ago, and is now live and for sale on Kindle Store.

Is it Worth Publishing Your Blog On Kindle?

Unless you have a large subscriber base, publishing your blog on Kindle does not appear it is something you can make a lot of money with. I have no idea how many Kindle users there are, and how many of them read blogs. From that group of blog readers, I don’t know how many of them will want to read a blog about Twitter Tips and Resources.

One thing I do know is that when a powerful domain like Amazon.com gives you the chance to occupy for free a piece of their real estate, it is almost unwise to ignore that opportunity. Whether or not someone will actually pay to read your blog on Kindle, you should add your blog, too, no matter what kind of small business you are or industry you’re in. Wait a couple of months or so and you’ll appreciate having a page on Amazon’s domain. Publish your blog Amazon Kindle here. Every Bit Counts...
