Pinterest For Marketing, Google Fresh, SEO, Blogging, Speedlink 05:2012

Hello everyone! Hope you all had a great week. Buzz during this week has been focused on FaceBook’s Massive $5 Billion IPO filling and the potential instant “millionaires” this IPO will provide. It is said that as many as 1/3 of current FaceBook employees will become millionaires as soon as FaceBook goes public. Mixed feelings from different market analyst raises concern about “key” employees deciding not to retire sooner than expected :). What do you think?

On Google’s side, yet another tweak on their algorithm was made public about “fresh” content being “fresher”. As it so seems, fresh content has been tweaked to reflect results heavier from “quality” sites, that it was. Makes sense as “fresh” does not really relate to “quality”.  There you go, “fresh” and “quality” content are now king and queen, or the other way around?

Lastly, I will have to again remind you about Pinterest. If images are worth a thousand words, then Pinterest is on to millions. It has been growing like crazy and it you are not yet there, you should. No invite? Let me know and I’ll send you one 🙂

As usual, in no particular order:

Blogging/Online Business (tips and tools)

SEO/Marketing

Social Web/Other Stuff

Introduction To Rich Snippets

Using rich snippets can really help to improve your rankings. It is a bit technical but Hesham has made this simple with the Author hReview plugin. You can use it for any theme. Simply Awesome :).

That’s it! Enjoy and have a great week ahead.

  • HI DiTesco, pininterest looks awesome, I’m on the waiting list to get in right now. It seems they have a closed door policy. With that said I do look forward to joining and trying out the site. With regards to the Facebook employees becoming millionaires, this is typical. Business always works like that, the rich get richer the poor; well they stay poor.

    • Hi Brian. Just sent you an invite. Not sure if that will bypass the waiting list, but look out for it on your inbox.. Let me know 🙂

      • Yeah I just got it I’ll check it out now! Thanks for thinking about me!

  • Again, great round-up of articles to check out. Can’t thank you enough for the post mention, Ditesco. 🙂 By the way, would love to have an invite for Pinterest account. Been hoping to try it out for some times now, wish I started earlier.

    • Welcome Ching. Your invite is on its way. Check your email. Hope it works 🙂 let me know if it did.

      • Hooray! I just saw it in my inbox! So excited, now I need to find time to explore it. Huge thanks DiTesco, see you in Pinterest. 🙂 Hugs!

        • Glad you ot it. See ya over there 🙂

  • DiTesco, WordPressJunkies.net is a great site! Best selection of Word Press plugins and themes on the net.

What is Pininterest all about? I’ve read everything I can find about it but I can’t grasp it fully without being a user, I’m on the waiting list bit I’m impatient. Can you tell those of us stuck on the wait list more about the site and It’s functionality?

  • Like Brian above I’m on the list for Pinterest as it seems to be growing like wildfire and users are really impressed with its content and social networking aspects. Would love to get an invite to see if it bypasses the waiting list process. Keep the great articles coming.

  • Thanks for the content. Been reading more about Pinterest. Much appreciated if you have invites to share.

  • The Pinterest article from HubSpot was very interesting. Thanks for writing a wonderful resource of articles DiTesco

  • I may be the only person not asking about Pintrest (I looked at it, but it just didn’t look like something I HAD to use).

I am curious about the Google update you mentioned. I have looked around but couldn’t find more information. So when looking at new content, Google is putting less weight on low quality, new content? Is there anywhere you can point me for more on this update?

  • Can anyone invite me to pinterest? I will really appreciate it.

  • Pintrest? sincerely, I never knew this before. I’m o ff to check what it’s all about 😉

  • I am in the waiting list. I am eagerly waiting for the invitation link. I am little bit curious about Pintrest .

    Thanks
    Abhijit…
