Amplify now has the added option to autopost to Posterous and it looks great after that is done. As far as your concern of Google considering this duplicate content, well, even if they do I don't think it will be of negative impact as in this case they will only consider the original source. There are other search engines and they treat this issues differently, plus, since it is only an excerpt and not the full post, I am convinced that it will have its value if used sparingly.
