What is Page Rank?
Quick answer: Page Rank is Google's way of giving a specific value to how popular (or important) your website is. It is based on the number of votes other websites cast for your website. A vote is simply when another website places a link on their website that is pointing to your website. Generally, the more votes or links you have pointing to your website, the higher your Page Rank (PR) will be. Page Rank is one of the many factors that Google takes into account when ranking websites on their search results. How Do I Get Ranked?
In order to rank in Google, you must first get into their index. It is easy to know if you are indexed by google. All you have to do is google your full websites URL and if no results appear, it is because your website is either, probably new and it's not in Google's index yet, or you have been banned. Once you are indexed, keep posting quality content, do some onpage optimization, join communities, etc, and you will eventually get ranked by google. How Do I Know What My Page Rank Is?
There are a lot of page rank checkers on the internet and most of them are free. Just google free page rank checker and you should get a decent amount of results. Now, if you want a Google Page Rank Checker, there is only one way you can do this, and that is by installing the google toolbar. I am not saying that other checkers are not good, but if google is the trademark owner of PR and the toolbar tells you your PR, it should not be wrong - right? Makes Sense. Now, with the google toolbar installed. Just type in your URL or any other address to find out the PR. With the page is fully loaded, you can see:

PageRank bar is Gray: This means that most likely the website is banned.
PageRank bar is White and hovering your mouse on top pf this will give you the PR. In this case it is zero (good).
PageRank bar is partially colored with green. Importance of this page is PR2/10 (10 being the highest), better than good:)
So Why Is PR0, good?
Simple. Because, with zero page rank(PR0), this means, for google, that you exist and you are not banned (that is good). When you get banned, your site does not exist on google, and that is bad, very, very bad. With PR0, your page is indexed, cached and most likely, you will find yourself somewhere in googles results. You just have to be patient, keep blogging and do a little of optimization to gain higher rankings (I am working on it:)). SEO and Traffic Building can help you achieve higher rankings, but that is a different topic. Why Is It Not Good Enough?
There are several reasons why it is not good enough. For the purpose of this post, I will only concentrate on blogging for business. If you are like me, and I am sure many of you are, monetizing your blog is one hell of a reason why having a PR0 is not good enough. While you can get started with many affiliate programs, like AdSense, Clickbank , etc, there are a lot of other opportunities that are out of your reach due to low PR. Examples of these are; getting paid to review programs, selling ad spaces, and so on. These type of make money online programs are an excellent source of extra income and most of the time you deal directly with advertisers or ad brokers. Imagine getting paid $$ just to have an ad somewhere in your page and not having to worry about you visitors clicking on them. You can only achieve this with high PR. The higher the PR the better. Advertisers math is simple: High PR = High Traffic = Higher CTR. For us? Higher $$$That's it. Hoped you learned something more today...What does ditesco mean?
